Founder and ChairmanFounder and Chairman of GoldenSand Capital, focused on high-technology investments in semiconductors, new energy, and related sectors.
Mr. Wu led investments in LatticePower, Great Wisdom Software, Silevo Solar, SEEO, Aleees, Ronbay New Energy, and other high-technology companies.
Mr. Wu conducted research on SAW filters and BiCMOS semiconductors in Ottawa, Canada. He returned to China in 1993 and was responsible for Nortel Networks' strategic investment and China market development in the 1990s.
He helped establish Shanghai Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (ASMC), Shanghai's first 0.8-micron semiconductor foundry, and promoted the deployment of CDMA wireless base station business in China.
Mr. Wu is an MIT Sloan Fellow and an honorary citizen of Shunde/Foshan, Nanchang, and Changzhou.
Mr. Wu has extensive industrial resources in Silicon Valley, Boston, Israel, and Europe. He has served as China investment advisor to Temasek, supported the growth of Southern University of Science and Technology, and currently serves as Vice Chair of its Council.
